What You Will Get To Do:
  • Cover the onsite U.S. time zone operational support for dedicated basket of independent managed accounts and portfolio management teams.
  • Support the daily trade capture and P&L validation process.
  • Review and monitor daily cash and position reconciliations.
  • Monitor trade settlements daily.
  • Support investment and risk teams by responding to queries on individual account transactions and positions and work with the risk team to provide accurate daily risk data across accounts.
  • Act as liaison between the portfolio manager, counterparty and administrator to ensure seamless interaction between all parties.
  • Support tracking and analysis of margin excess and financing requirements across accounts. Analyze and communicate any fluctuations or discrepancies.
  • Provide support for the treasury management function.
  • Review and manage the accounting and valuation treatment for a variety of asset classes, including equities, futures, fixed income securities, listed options, currency forwards, contracts-for-difference, credit default swaps, interest rate swaps and other OTC products.
  • Support the review of and sign-off on a comprehensive monthly accounting package provided by the administrator. Review management and incentive fee calculations.
  • Support and develop Associate and Senior Associate level team members.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that will result in greater efficiency in daily processes or month end production across the team.
  • Identify transactions or areas of risk that will impact the financial reporting and tax compliance teams including particularly those impacting financial reporting classification, valuation and profit and loss allocation.

What You Will Bring:
    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • 5-7 years prior work experience with a Hedge Fund, Financial Institution or hedge fund administrator operations department.
    • 2-3 years supervisory experience overseeing hedge fund operations and/or fund accounting personnel.
    • Experience with Microsoft office applications, comfort with custom database environments, OMS/PMS environments, Advent Geneva and Partner considered a plus.
    • Highly motivated self-starter with an appetite for knowledge.
    • Effective and efficient researcher.
    • Ability to become subject matter expert and increase the depth of knowledge across the team.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set, organize and meet priorities.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as with others in small team and energetic environment.
