Managing plant microbiomes for better plant health hos Københavns Universitet

Plant microbiomes are an integrated parts of plant health e.g. contributing to plant resistance towards pathogens. A large NNF center, the Matrix, will in the coming years explore the use for sustainable agriculture. Projects can focus on mapping the microbiome on field grown crops, isolating and characterizing key microbiome fungi, interactions between the plant, beneficial and pathogenic biota based on chemical crosstalk and genomics of key microbiome fungi. NB. Master students in Mycology can apply the Lauritz W Olson foundation for travel support in connection with sampling campaigns, conferences or research stays abroad.
