We are seeking a talented, hands-on security engineer whose broad experience implementing, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing and supporting cybersecurity technologies will help to shape DuPont’s Advanced Defense & Threat Management capabilities. The Wilmington, Delaware-based candidate will collaborate with engineers and architects to bring to life the protections on which DuPont depends to achieve its technology and innovation goals.

Role Summary
The successful candidate will work in DuPont’s Advanced Defense & Threat Management team, focused on the application and lifecycle management of cyber security solutions & tools (including custom developed tools) to identify, protect, detect and respond to cyber incidents. The candidate will ensure cyber security tools are optimally deployed to collect and analyze IT systems and network event data for anomalous behavior and/or the presence of indications of compromise.
The candidate will develop recommendations for security enhancements and help drive team strategy and capabilities. They will support the Security Intelligence Center by collaborating in use case development, developing response processes and procedures, and performing continuous process improvements; which may include documentation, mentoring, and/or training sessions. The successful candidate will establish and maintain excellent working relationships/partnerships with the cyber security and infrastructure support teams throughout the Information Technology organization.
This individual will interface with vendors to strengthen support engagement and to deepen product knowledge through training and education. The candidate will utilize their strong written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices to achieve successful performance in this role.

Job Qualifications


  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, such as Computer Engineering, Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum three to five years of experience designing, deploying and supporting cyber security solutions (EDR, IDPS, HIPS, SIEM, VA technology, etc…)

  • Proven knowledge and experience as a member of a cyber incident response team

  • Strong analytical skills, creative thinking, and knowledgeable of security operations

  • Prefer certifications such as: CISSP, GCED, GCIH, GCFA, GCFE
